Native to eastern and central North America, Echinacea is a flowering plant that thrives in open woodlands and prairies. Its name, which is derived from the Greek word ekhinos (meaning hedgehog), refers to its large flowers with spikey centers. Indigenous Americans used the plant extensively for a variety of purposes, such as treating burns and wounds, insect and snake bites, various infections, digestive problems, migraines, sore throats, and more. Early European settlers caught on quickly to the use of this plant, and by the 20th century it was the most commonly used herbal medicine in the New World.
Echinacea root contains many therapeutic compounds such as polysaccharides, echinacoside, alyklamides, ketoalkenes which have been studied for their immune-stimulating, anti-bacterial and antiviral properties.
Helvetia’s Echinacea root supplement is a dual extracted spagyric tincture, in order to achieve a full spectrum of both water and alcohol soluble active compounds.
Helvetia’s PINE POLLEN spagyric extract is best used as an invigorating daily tonic and/or 1-2 hours before performance-dependent activities.
One 30-capsule bottle will last 2-4 weeks on average. Higher or more frequent doses may be safe when supervised by a qualified health professional.
